Sneak peek of some photos we took of Tonka today when we turned him out to enjoy this warm weather. Mason decided to jump on him bareback in a halter and take him for a little spin around the outdoor arena before riding him back to the barn. This guy is just so cool and never ceases to take my breath away. This mare is the faithful trail partner everyone is searching for. We pulled her out of the pasture after sitting, jumped on her bareback in a halter while leading another horse behind her all the way across the farm and she acted like she has been being ridden every day. She will trot and lope, but prefers to just take it slow. This mare has had all of the chaos thrown at her and could care less. We have ridden her double, bareback, crawled all over her, thrown the horse ball at her/under her, jumped off barrels onto her and so much more and she just takes everything we've done to her in stride. Daisy crosses water/logs/ditches etc and is a trail horse deluxe. She will ride solo and anywhere in the group. A hard to find package all wrapped in the best color, Buckskin! Sold Chandon is a fourteen year old grade gaited mare standing just shy of fifteen hands. She is a unique champagne color and is very pretty in person. This mare has seen lots of miles of countryside and goes wherever you point her. We have ridden her both in a group and by herself. She is gentle to be around and ride. A painted balou (registration pending) aka balou is a coming yearling (born August last year) blue roan and white stud colt. He is out of a sixteen hand blue roan paint spotted draft mare and by a fourteen hand blue roan Gypsy Vanner stallion. He will be guaranteed to throw solid roan or tobiano foals if someone chooses to keep him a stallion. I sent in his registration application and it is being processed and should have the hard papers back in roughly a month. He is very gentle to handle and has a really sweet disposition. He leads/ties/bathes/trailers etc. Balou will shed out to be blue roan as can be when he loses his winter woolies. He is going to be an absolute stunner when he matures. Red roan coming yearling stud colt born may 12th last year. His registered name is KC ROAN PLAY BOY (AQHA hard copy papers in hand). He is six panel clean. His sire is KCDUNOHCAYINROAN, my AQHA bay roan stud who is by an own son of Dun It with a twist x Hollywood Dun It and out of an own daughter of Oh Cay Quixote X Doc Quixote. This foals mom is such a laid back sweetheart and she is Freckles Playboy bred on the topside and Skippa Lark bred on the bottom side. He has a babydoll head, kind eye, good conformation and red roan as can be under his winter woolies.(I included some summer pictures of him as well). This foal will be athletic, smart, trainable, and have the breeding and looks to be taken in any direction. This colt has a very naturally gentle disposition and a very curious type personality. He is a stand up colt with excellent bloodlines and a head full of sense. Color testing results are included in pictures, as well as, his digital registration papers. He leads/ties/bathes etc. His mom is also available and is bred back the same way so it will be offered as a two in one package or a three in one package with her yearling foal and the mare bred back the same way. The mare is broke to ride and has the sweetest personality. She has reduced vision in one eye but it does not bother her. She was confirmed eighteen days bred on June first last year and is showing she's bred. She hadn't been ridden in over a year and we saddled her up and she rode right off (video below). Flicka is a bay roan yearling (born July last year) filly out of a thirteen three hand draft/pony cross mare and by a sixteen hand percheron stallion. She currently stands forty nine and a half inches tall. She is absolutely ADORABLE in person. She has a cute head, kind eye, big bone, plenty of feathers and will be a TANK when she matures. Flicka has had lots of handling. She will lead/tie/trailer/bathe/pick her feet etc. This girl has plenty of athleticism and is a very pretty mover. She will have the brains, agility and body structure to excel in whatever discipline someone chooses to take her in. Sold Dapple is a yearling buckskin Gypsy Vanner quarter horse cross filly standing roughly thirteen hands. These pictures do her no justice, she is GORGEOUS in person. Dapple picks up her feet, leads, ties, jumped right in our stock trailer, been bathed and takes everything in stride. She will have big dapples all over her when she sheds out, hence where her name comes from. She is the perfect cross of both breeds. She has a cute head, kind eye, plenty of feathers and a willing disposition. Dapple has had lots of handling and is ready for someone to go on with. She has lots of athleticism, brains and talent to be taken in any direction. She is in her ugly duckling stage and going through a growth spurt, but will be a show stopper when she matures. I bought two Fjord mares from Katy last fall. The horses have been a great addition to our farm. They are respectful and well trained to drive and are learning quickly to ride. Katy and her staff have been amazingly helpful with finding the right tack, connecting me with a vet, farrier and driving teacher.Katy is professional and knowledgable and has a heart of gold. We got a Haflinger Mare with a Gypsy Vanner foal at her side for pony rides and she is wonderful! She is patient and kind with the kids just like Katy said she would be. We were also told before she got here that the mare is in foal for a July 2026 baby! Wow! Thank you Katy! This mare and her foals will live out their lives at the orchard and will be well loved! 🍎♥️
